Photograph the beautiful waterscapes of this grand National Park
Plitvice Lakes National Park
Our Croatia photography workshop takes place in the captivating Plitvice Lakes National Park, a mesmerizing aquatic landscape featuring 16 interconnected lakes adorned with picturesque cascades, streams, rivers, and numerous enchanting waterfalls.
As the Republic of Croatia’s oldest and largest national park, Plitvice Lakes is a unique and remarkable place.
A natural wonder
Nestled within the mountainous expanse of Croatia, the lakes are situated between the Mala Kapela mountain range in the west and northwest, and the Lička Plješivica range to the southeast.
In acknowledgment of its exceptional natural significance, the park earned UNESCO World Heritage Site status in 1979. Stringent conservation measures are in place to safeguard the ecological integrity of the area.
An Artist's Palate of Colours
As you would imagine, the abundance of water is surrounded by vibrant green forests and a variety of wildlife, creating an idyllic sanctuary for both nature enthusiasts and photographers.
The water in this area displays a spectrum of colours, ranging from azure to green, gray, or blue, a reflection of its mineral composition and aquatic organisms. The park features a series of waterfalls, with the notable Veliki Slap (Great Waterfall) standing prominently at approximately 78 meters (256 feet) in height.
Picturesque views
We will guide you to get to the most incredible waterfall images, show you how to capture a bird’s eye view of the park, and take you to the Veliki Slap viewpoint for the picture postcard view of Plitvice Lakes.
The tuition will cover composition, shutter speeds, working with filters, apertures, and understanding histograms in order to capture perfect images.
