A landscape and wildlife photographer's paradise

Boat trip on Lake Naivasha

Upon arrival we’ll spend our first night in an elegant hotel in Nairobi. In the morning we will visit Lake Naivasha, a beautiful freshwater lake which is part of the Great Rift Valley.

Surrounding the lake are some lovely old colonial houses, small villages of thatch and clay houses and flower farms to photograph.

We will take an hour-long boat trip from which we’ll be able to photograph fish eagles, ospreys, cormorants, hippos, zebras, giraffes and more.

Lake Nakuru National Park

After this scenic stop we will continue to Lake Nakuru National Park. Here you can photograph the thousands of flamingoes that inhabit the lakesides.

The national park is also home to the White and Black Rhinos together with the endangered Rothschild Giraffe, over 400 bird species, buffalos, waterbucks, lions, impalas and more.

Masai Mara National Reserve

From Lake Nakuru we will move on to the world famous Masai Mara National Reserve. The Masai Mara extends all the way to the neighbouring Serengeti Reserve in Tanzania.

It is known for the “Big Five” (African elephant, lion, leopard, Cape buffalo, and rhinoceros). At the reserves, we will have morning and afternoon game drives to view the amazing animals up close. So be sure to pack those telephoto lenses.

Beautiful Landscapes

Of course as well as the wildlife, we will take time out to capture the breathtaking landscape in which these beautiful animals live. There will be plenty of time for photographing the sunrise and sunset.

People and culture

The Maasai people are a Nilotic ethnic group inhabiting northern, central and southern Kenya. They are a fascinating culture. We will spend some time in their company and have the privilege of photographing them too.

Small groups mean more flexibilty

Transport is provided in a specially adapted jeep with plenty of room to ensure everyone gets a good viewing point.

This small group setup will give us the flexibility to linger longer and to address the individual interests of each participant.
