This photography workshop is every landscape and nature photographer’s dream and combines two stunning mountain areas: the Bavarian Alps and the Dolomites. During this 9 day, 8 night tour we will photograph amazing scenery including rugged, snow capped mountain ranges, stunning glaciers, crystal clear blue lakes, charming alpine villages, and picturesque churches and farmhouses.

Our Dolomites and Bavarian Alps workshop will start in Munich where we will meet at the Flightgate Munich airport hotel and spend our first night. After everyone has arrived, we will have an informal meet and greet and get to know each other. In the morning we will start our journey to the heart of Bavaria where we will stay the next two nights and take stunning images of this picturesque region. Located on the border of Germany and Austria, Garmisch-Partenkirchen is the quintessential Bavarian town. Yodelling, slap dancing, and Lederhosen are all featured in this German town to end all German towns. Garmisch (in the west) is trendy and urban, where Partenkirchen (in the east) retains old-school Bavarian charm. During our stay we will explore one of Germany’s natural monuments, the Partnach Gorge where 2,300 feet of breath taking waterfalls and caves provide a rare look into Germany’s geological past. We will photograph the fairy tale Schloss Neuschwanstein, a monument to medieval culture and kingship commenced by the Bavarian King Ludwig II in 1869. Eibsee has been called one of the most beautiful lakes in all of Germany, and it’s easy to see why. The turquoise water looks like a mirror, gorgeously reflecting the surrounding mountains off its crystalline surface – we will capture its beauty during the golden hours of the day.

Once, we leave Bavaria, our journey will continue to our first destination in the Dolomites close to the Fannes-Senes-Braies Nature Park and one of Italy’s most beautiful lakes, Lago di Braies. We will spend the next 2 nights in this fabulous mountain location and take pictures of deep blue-green waters and rugged mountain cliffs at the best light of the day.

From there we will travel to our next location, where we will spend 2 nights: Europe’s largest mountain plateau- Alpe di Suisi. This Dolomite region is a soul-stirring dreamland for any photographer. Some of South Tyrol’s most alluring villages, churches, and castles reside here. Our photography motifs in this region are endless, behind every corner hides a picture perfect postcard.  We will guide you to the best spots to take stunning images of majestic valleys, vertical walls, sheer cliffs, and sun-drenched mountain scapes. Let us help you capture the best of Tre Cime di Lavaredo, Lago d’Antorno,  Passo di Giau, Carezza, Seceda, Val di Funes, and Passo Gardena.

Our tour ends in Munich where we will spend our last night at the Flightgate airport hotel before saying goodbye until next time!
