Day 1: Meeting in the afternoon at our hotel Ibis Lisboa Parque das Nações. One overnight.
Sunrise shoot at the Vasco da Gama bridge, breakfast at the hotel, drive to Lagos in the Algarve (2 hours 40 min).
Lagos. During our stay in the Algarve, we will have plenty of time out in the field at sunrise & sunset for seascape locations, and we will concentrate on the blue hour & evenings while exploring old towns with our cameras. We will seek out interesting nooks and crannies as well as the better-known and more popular sites. Our aim is to give you ample opportunity to really capture the history and beauty of this amazing area.
Nazare. During our two night stay in Nazare we will explore typical small villages, photograph fishermen mending nets, and traditionally clad women who wear skirts with seven petticoats. The beach, tasty seafood, and a funicular ride are the highlights of this scenic beach tow. The funicular, which leads from the beach up to the historic Sítio neighborhood, was built in 1889, the same year as the Eiffel Tower (and was designed by a disciple of Eiffel).
Aveiro and Porto. Both cities, Porto and Aveiro, and their surrounding areas – especially the lagoon offer outstanding photography opportunities. We will show you our favorite spots at the best light of the day.
Last day: Breakfast, transfer to Lisbon International airport (2 hours 40 min) – end of workshop.

Relatively easy but good footwear needed. Most locations and viewpoints are close to where we will be parked. There may be some walking on uneven terrain which could be wet and muddy, and some locations are hilly. Good sturdy, water resistant boots are advised.
Best place to fly to is Lisbon Airport. If coming from the UK or within Europe, you can find flights at Easyjet or Wizz Air or Ryanair.
You can get information and public transport options from Lisbon Airport here:
The weather can be chilly this time of year, and the mornings and evenings colder, so warm clothes. Ideally layers that you can remove or put on as we’ll be shooting before sunrise and after sunset, in the dark, when it will be colder. Bring wet weather gear and a raincover for your camera equipment.
