Join me in the wild west of Portugal to capture one of the most photogenic coastlines in Europe. We will meet at our hotel in Lisbon in the afternoon for an informal get together and info session. The following morning we will photograph the eleven mile long, iconic Vasco da Gama Bridge, spanning the Targus river. From Lisbon we will continue our journey to the Algarve, a coastline with some of the most incredible rugged cliff formations, hidden coves, and blue water sceneries in all of the Iberian Peninsula. Imagine a place where golden cliffs meet azure waters, where cozy beaches give way to charming old towns, and every turn reveals a new, breathtaking vista – much of the Algarve remains relatively undiscovered and unspoiled.
During our workshop, I will provide photographic guidance, demonstrate the use of filters, talk about composition, shutter speeds, apertures, histograms and more.

Relatively easy but good footwear needed. Most locations and viewpoints are close to where we will be parked. There may be some walking on uneven terrain which could be wet and muddy, and some locations are hilly. Good sturdy, water resistant boots are advised.
Best place to fly to is Lisbon Airport. If coming from the UK or within Europe, you can find flights at Easyjet or Wizz Air or Ryanair.
You can get information and public transport options from Lisbon Airport here:
The weather can be quite cold this time of year, and the mornings and evenings colder, so warm clothes. Ideally layers that you can remove or put on as we’ll be shooting before sunrise and after sunset, in the dark, when it will be colder. Bring wet weather gear and a raincover for your camera equipment.
