Photograph the breathtaking landscapes and architecture of southern Germany

Gorgeous alpine landscapes

Our photography tour starts in Munich and explores the Bavarian Alps, including golden hour at Geroldsee, morning reflections at Hirtensee and Upfensee near Berchtesgaden and Neuschwanstein Castle. We then visit the dramatic Partnachklamm Gorge for long exposures and Berchtesgaden National Park’s Königssee.

Majestic Castles

Southern Germany boasts a magical collection of medieval castles, often dramatically situated atop mountains or rising from enchanting forested slopes. We’ll have the wonderful opportunity to photograph many of these historical gems, including the iconic Neuschwanstein Castle, the very inspiration for King Stefan’s castle in Disney’s beloved Sleeping Beauty!

Iconic Austrian Scenery

Crossing into Austria’s Salzkammergut, the tour includes iconic shots in Hallstatt and visits to Gosausee, Wolfgangsee, and Fuschlsee, with a highlight being the Golling Mill for waterfall photography.

The Austrian Lake District, the Salzkammergut, is a dream for photographers. Picture serene emerald and turquoise lakes reflecting dramatic alpine scenery, charming lakeside villages with quaint boathouses, and opportunities for stunning sunrise and sunset shots.
