Hello, I’m Paulo Silva, a Professional landscape photographer and educator based in Portugal.

My journey into photography began over twenty years ago, guided by a deep fascination with light, silence, and the emotional impact of place. I formally studied at the Portuguese Institute of Photography (Instituto Português de Fotografia), where I developed the technical foundation that still supports my work today.

I specialize in capturing the natural beauty of coastal and mountain landscapes across Portugal and Europe, from the volcanic islands of the Azores and the rugged coastlines of Madeira, to the vineyards of the Douro Valley and the peaks of the Dolomites and Bavaria.

My style is defined by simplicity, clean composition, and emotional depth. I believe that powerful landscape photography invites us to pause, to feel something beyond the image. Whether working with soft golden light, long exposures, or quiet details, I seek to create photographs that are both technically refined and poetically honest.
