Book my Madeira photo tour & workshop as an exclusive private trip for one person, a couple, or a group of 3 or 4 booking together. Alternatively, build your own customised tour for as many days as you require.
Madeira was made to be photographed — emerald forests spilling down ancient volcanic cliffs into the deep blue Atlantic, terraced vineyards clinging to impossibly steep slopes, and centuries-old levadas winding through mist-wrapped cloud forests. This private photo tour lets you discover Portugal’s island paradise through the lens, guided by an expert who knows exactly when the light is at its best and where to escape the crowds. Set your own pace as you explore dramatic coastal viewpoints and hidden levada trails alike, immersed in a subtropical sanctuary that feels like spring the whole year through. It’s Madeira at its most photogenic — unhurried, personal, and entirely shaped around you.

Highlights:
There is a place in the Atlantic where towering volcanic peaks pierce the clouds, ancient primeval forests are swallowed by silent mists, and monolithic stone needles rise defiantly from a churning ocean. This is Madeira—a landscape photographer’s ultimate canvas.
I have designed this exclusive, 5-day photography tour to be far more than a simple sightseeing trip. This is an artistic pilgrimage. Having spent years tracking the wild microclimates, the shifting mountain fogs, and the coastal tides of this island, I will personally guide you away from the tourist crowds. Together, we will isolate the raw, geometric patterns of nature and capture Madeira in a state of pure, contemplative, and timeless elegance.
Our Journey Begins: Seamless Precision & Coastal Comfort
Our photographic adventure begins and concludes at Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport (FNC), where I will welcome you personally. From the very moment you land, every logistical detail is seamlessly handled. We will transfer to our premium base of operations, an exceptional hotel chosen for its refined comfort and strategic access to both the dramatic northern coastlines and the towering central peaks. After a demanding day of chasing the light, you will return to total comfort to unwind, recharge, and review your imagery in a sophisticated setting.
The Itinerary Highlights
The Monumental North: Ribeira da Janela & The Living Forest
The Radiant Southwest: Sunsets & Cascading Waters
The Soul of Madeira: Verdant Heights & Heritage
Chasing the Atmosphere with Me
Madeira’s dramatic topography creates instant, highly localized microclimates. A mountain peak can be entirely shrouded in cloud while a coastal beach is bathed in pristine sunlight. Because of my intimate familiarity with the island’s weather patterns and terrain, our daily schedule will remain completely fluid and dynamic. If the mountains close in, we will pivot instantly to the coast; if the sea is too calm, we will chase the mountain mists. I will ensure you are always standing in the right spot, with the right lens, at the absolute perfect creative moment.

Relatively easy but good footwear needed. Most locations and viewpoints are close to where we will be parked. There may be some walking on uneven terrain which could be wet and muddy, and some locations are hilly. Good sturdy, water resistant boots are advised.
Best place to fly to is Ponta Delgada Airport. If coming from the UK or within Europe, check for flights at Easyjet or Wizz Air or Ryanair.
