What We Will Explore and Photograph
São Miguel:
We will capture the island’s iconic volcanic scenery – the mystical twin lakes of Sete Cidades, the steaming geothermal fields of Furnas, the emerald waters of Lagoa do Fogo, and the dramatic cliffs along the northeast coast. São Miguel’s mix of volcanic craters, lush greenery, and Atlantic views makes it the perfect opening chapter of our journey.
Flores:
Known as the “Island of Waterfalls,” Flores is a paradise for landscape photographers. We will explore the countless cascading waterfalls, the legendary seven volcanic lagoons(Sete Lagoas), dramatic cliff formations, and coastal viewpoints where the Atlantic crashes against black volcanic rock. The light and textures here are pure magic.
Corvo:
The smallest and most remote island of the Azores offers one of the most breathtaking sights in the archipelago – the enormous volcanic caldera of Caldeirão. We will photograph its sweeping landscapes, unique birdlife, and the authentic character of this untouched island, reached by a short ferry ride from Flores.
Throughout the tour, I will personally tutor and guide you, sharing techniques for composition, light management, and creative approaches to capture the soul of these incredible islands.
This is an immersive experience designed to combine exploration with professional guidance, ensuring you return home with a unique collection of images and unforgettable memories from one of the most extraordinary regions in the world.

Relatively easy but good footwear needed. Most locations and viewpoints are close to where we will be parked. There may be some walking on uneven terrain which could be wet and muddy, and some locations are hilly. Good sturdy, water resistant boots are advised.
Best place to fly to is Ponta Delgada Airport. If coming from the UK or within Europe, check for flights at Easyjet or Wizz Air or Ryanair.
I will pick you up at Ponta Delgada airport
The mornings and evenings can be cold, so warm clothes. Ideally layers that you can remove or put on as we’ll be shooting before sunrise and after sunset, in the dark, when it will be colder. Bring wet weather gear and a raincover for your camera equipment.
