Vintgar Gorge: Nestled in the heart of Slovenia’s Julian Alps, Vintgar Gorge near Bled is a breathtaking natural wonder. This 1.6-kilometer-long gorge, carved by the Radovna River, is a photographer’s dream, with its towering vertical walls, cascading waterfalls, crystal-clear pools, and exhilarating rapids.

Relatively easy but good footwear needed. Most locations and viewpoints are close to where we will be parked. There may be some walking on uneven terrain which could be wet and muddy, and some locations are hilly. Good sturdy, water resistant boots are advised.
Best place to fly to is Ljubljana Airport. If coming from the UK or within Europe, check for flights at Easyjet or Wizz Air.
Other nearby airports are, in Italy: Venice Marco Polo (3 hours away), Trieste Airport (about 1.5 hours) or Graz in Austria (2 hours)

The weather can be quite mild this time of year, but the mornings and evenings cold, so bring warm clothes. Ideally layers that you can remove or put on as we’ll be shooting before sunrise and after sunset, in the dark, when it will be colder. Bring wet weather gear and a raincover for your camera equipment.
