Start with the Dolomites & Bavaria Masterclass – October 7–14, 2027

Why Not Begin the Week Before?

This workshop begins at Ljubljana on October 15th. The Dolomites & Bavaria Autumn Masterclass concludes on October 14th — and if you book both together, the journey between them is entirely taken care of.

No flights to arrange. No transfers to navigate. The minibus brings you directly from Munich to Slovenia, with additional nights’ accommodation included, so that what might otherwise be a logistical gap becomes instead a scenic overnight continuation of the same extraordinary autumn journey.

That journey begins eight days earlier, in Bavaria. From the moss-draped mystery of Hintersee to the soaring ridgelines of Seceda; from Neuschwanstein emerging from October mist to the fire of the Enrosadira painting the Dolomite peaks crimson at dusk — the Masterclass is photography on a grand Alpine scale, moving through Germany, Austria and northern Italy in a premium 4×4 with a maximum of four participants and no compromises on time or access.

Then we drive east. The landscape shifts. And Slovenia begins. Together, the two workshops span nearly two full weeks across four countries, with every transfer and additional night included when booked as a pair — a rare opportunity to experience the very best of European autumn photography without a single logistical concern from start to finish.

The larches will not stay golden forever. Book both, and make the most of every day they are.

I went with Paulo on the Slovenia Workshop recently. Slovenia, especially in the Lake Bled region, is stunning and with Paulo's experience I was brough to great locations at the best times. Paulo has researched photographic locations and chooses one that suits the weather on the day. For example the photo of St Thomas church above the clouds took knowledge of the local conditions. Paulo is a great host and tutor and looks after guests very well.

I had the pleasure of attending a one-day private workshop with Paulo, and it was an outstanding experience. His deep knowledge of the area and expertise in landscape photography are truly impressive. Paulo is exceptionally friendly and patient, especially when guiding you through camera settings and new techniques. Not only did I come away with some fantastic images, but I also learned valuable skills that will enhance my future photography. It was a real pleasure meeting and learning from Paulo. If you’re traveling in Europe and have an interest in landscape photography, I highly recommend joining one of his workshops—you’ll come away with great photos, new techniques, and wonderful memories. • Brian S., Michigan, USA

We joined Paulo for an amazing photography tour of the Azores. Paulo had researched spots for both sunrise and sunset photography along with other stunning scenery on the island. This was a gift for my husband's birthday and it could not have been more perfect. The photography shots were incredible and the entire trip was handled very professionally. We will definitely book another photography tour with Paulo.
